Before the spins start, one of the high-value dinosaur symbols is randomly selected to turn into the colossal symbol. The symbols will shift to the left like in the Horde feature; and create the same hoards I saw before. However, unlike in the Hoard feature where the colossal symbols drop off reel 1 and disappear, they reappear on reel 8.

The symbols would shift over to the left again, providing opportunities for me to land more colossal hoards if possible. 

The best part of the feature was that I could always hope for a retrigger if 3 more scatters landed and awarded 10 free spins. If I had any colossal symbols remaining from any free spin rounds, I’d have them even after the feature ends.

My personal take on Reptizillions: Power Reels slot

I almost passed on the Reptizillions: Power Reels slot for fear of the weird 8 reels, 6-row setup. That would have been the worst mistake in my slot gaming career because it’s a highly playable slot. The Horde feature is one of the most original bonuses I’ve seen thus far, and it matches the theme perfectly.

The colossal hoards in the free spins feature are also a nice touch that took me by surprise. The developer went all out when it came to the gameplay, but I was still wary about the high volatility and low RTP.
